After the April 9, 2019 Windows 10 updates automatically installed (2019-03 Cumulative update for Win10 vers 1803: KB4489868 and Adobe Flash Player Security update: KB4489907), I could not use my scanner at all. I have two scanners and neither one would communicate with my computer. My Fujitsu ScanSnap ix500 often stops working after a Windows update, but if I uninstall and reinstall the scanner, it then works again. This time I couldn't get it to work and my trusty Canon MF4350 printer/scanner/fax machine also wouldn't scan. I uninstalled the two April 9th updates, restarted my computer and the ScanSnap scanner worked again without doing anything else (I didn't try the Canon machine again yet). Since I uninstalled both updates before restarting, I don't know which one was preventing communication with my scanner. I've now delayed Windows updates for 35 days but I will need a fix for this after that since my scanner is vital to my work. Any ideas about this? Thanks
