TRUST vs Federation Between Dominios - Help

Hi Friends

I Have a doubt and I would like your help.

Currently we have an Active Directory Domain that meets all authentications, Exchange, SQL applications, Oracle and users.

We Are separating our company and we will create a new domain, new Active Directory, all new.

My doubt, all of our applications are pointing and hosted in the old domain, which would be most recommended for when we are using the new domain does not affect the applications.
