Morning All
Okies, I get it that Microsoft will no longer gave assistance to windows XP as reminded by a Microsoft agent this morning, however, you guys might be able to help.
Recently, I had to completely rebuild and reload the software on my machine due to a disk failure. Widows XP SP3 and all its updates have been installed.
Prior to the rebuild, all my software was quite happy in accessing the internet. Post rebuild, although I can still manually access the internet, my flight Sim 2004 load real world weather comes up with a no internet connection error message, as does Real Environment Extreme, and various other software wrappers.
I've tried turning off windows firewall and my AVG firewall in case either of these are causing the issue, but this has no effect.
Some have suggested that the advanced settings in the internet options in the control panel (protocols) my not be up to date, or it might be that my NIC settings may not have been set correctly, but as I have normal internet access via broadband, I am somewhat at a loss.
Any assistance would be gratefully received (except update your OS lol)
