Why oh why does Microsoft think that its server products only require an Active Hours setting of 12 hours or more. We have a critical server and I want to increase the active hours before updates to more than 12 hours. Ideally I need updates to happen within a 2 hour window of midnight to 2am, but due to Microsoft ridiculous "we know better than the user" attitude this cannot be changed from a maximum window of 12 hours. Just how many servers do Microsoft think exist which are mission critical, life dependent that are only active for 50% of the day. I believe a recent update to Windows 10 this active hours has been increased to 18 hours, but not for server products. Even if 18 hours where to be introduced this is still not good enough for some critical systems.
Come on Microsoft let us decide what is good for our servers, not you, after all we pay enough to be able to run your OS's.
