I have a test Network that I'm using for my certifications. I have a domain controller, and I have a terminal server running on a separate member server that's joined to the Domain.
I’m trying to configure a deploy folder GPO when users log into their terminal server session. I am deploying the folders based on group membership. I am selecting the group I want to target in item level targeting. This GPO is working on the local machine. I actually have two policies that are working when users log into their active directory account on the local machine. The first GPO is the hide drive GPO. I am hiding A,B,C,D drives. When users open my computer, they see no drives except the drive I am deploying to them by GPO. Both GPO’s are working on the workstation. I am linking this GPO to an OU that has all the workstations in it. When I link the same GPO’s to an OU that has the terminal server in it, it does not not apply. The GPO does not deploy the folder, and it does not hide any of the drives. What object do I need to add the security filtering so the GPO’s will deploy to the terminal server? What do I need to add to the delegation tab to make this GPO work? Is there a part of the configuration I am missing. Another thing I have noticed is the GPO is not showing in gpresult /r, even the GPO that is working. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I can add any information you my need, and I can send screenshots as well.
Thank you.
