I have files on a freecom 400gb external hard drive. I decided to copy the files to dvd as a backup. Now, the freecom can only be view on a hp compaq running windows 7. So I transfered the files to an SSD connect to the windows 7 computer.
Then moved that to a Presario which has my dvd writer (the compaq does not work). I dragged the files to a dvd rw.
But it kept coming up with missing files...skip etc. The files that were transfered open. But when I look on the SSD and try to open a file (pic) is says Photo gallery can't open this picture because it might have been deleted or is in a location that is not available.
So firstly. If the Freecom has files on there why is it skipping some of them because it says they are not there?
How come the transfered files on the SSD can't be seen yet copied to a dvd rw ok?
I also copied a folder and pasted it into two different folders. I deleted the original. When I looked for the copies the folders were there but with nothing in it. No pictures at all. I looked for the recycle bin but the deleted folder was not there!!!!!!! I have the original on the freecom and it opens up ok but what the hell is going on?
