Hello everyone,
Currently I have a working production AD integrated Certificate Infrastructure, with all CA servers running Windows 2008 R2, in our AD domain (all Windows server 2016 DCs with 2008 R2 forest level).
I'm in the process of deploying Windows Hello for Business (On Premise Certificate Trust Deployment) and it requires a Windows 2012 R2 CA infrastructure (2012 R2 CA templates have a certain properties not present in 2008 R2 templates).
My question. Since I need 2012 R2 CA templates, will an in-place upgrade of my 2008 R2 CA servers be the best option here?
I want to make sure also that my existing CA infrastructure doesn't get affected as we have many services and devices that rely on this infrastructure.
Thanks for your time!
