Hi All

After spending many hours in troubleshooting, I hope to get help from here.

I have a Windows Server 2016, which is used in a Citrix Farm as the Master Image for Citrix PVS.

The Problem is, that it does not install the CU Update, for Example 2019-04 KB4493470. After the installation is finished, i need to reboot. After the Reboot i get the Message Update Failed.

I tried everything.

1. sfc /scannow

2. all the DISM Commands (online and offline)

3. Repair Windows Updates Component Store and all that Stuff

4. The integrated "fix my Windows Updates Problem"

5. All I found in Google what should help.

6. Install the Update manually (offline) by downloading from the Windows Update Website

I could track my problem down to that.

One Manifest entry i could solve by myself. But i cannot get rid of this error in the CBS Log.

CSI 000022dd Changelist winner missing its manifest - Microsoft-Windows-Cortana.Desktop.AppxMain.RemindersUI.Views.Cortana, version 10.0.14393.0, arch amd64, nonSxS, pkt {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35}

My hope is, when i get rid of this Manifest Error, the CU Update will work again. But i dont find the right Registry Entry or something. I deleted the registry i thought it was, but the error still exists. So maybe i took the wrong one.

As it is a writeable Image, which i always can revert back I was free to try whatever i hope it could solve my problem.

I recently Build the Image from Scratch.. so i dont want to do that again. Because it takes a lot of time to get everything set up again as it is the Citrix Desktop for my Customer.

I appreciate any help in the direction how to get rid of this Manifest error.

Best Regards

Dominic
