Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard

My windows server 2012 R2 Standard got virus and had to do a fresh installation. before then i had scanned for the product key which was used. I downloaded evaluation software 2012 R2 and run the installation, when i tried to activate with the product keys i have, i got a message ''cant use the product key to activate this version of windows''

Any help please!
