We have multiple DHCP servers in our environment currently running with OS Windows Server 2012 R2, Standard. I have performed many upgrade from 2012 to 2016 but not with DHCP role installed.
While searching on internet, all I found is migration of DHCP role from 2012 to 2016 but there's no in-place u[upgrade info. I don't want DHCP with new host-name so I don't want to migrate to new server, so how to achieve this task.
1. if migration is the only way, how to keep server with old host-name ?
2. Is in-place upgrade option isn't available for DHCP role ?
