Folder redirection woes

Any way to get verbose logging or what could be causing our woes. we use folder redirection from a GPO and we dont move files/folders as part of the gpo. we recentlru moved homedrives from server a to server B and most users are now experiencing very long login times and explorer crashes. if we dont move files then what is it doing? any fixes?
