Routing and Remote Access Ports types: PPPoE- what's the use of it?

Hello,

In RRAS we have got a broad port selections:

From what I understand IKEv2/PPTP/SSTP/L2TP can be used in VPN. What the goal of PPPoE and in what situations one should use one? Is this for legacy purpose?
