Why did TrustedInstaller flag KB4074597 as superseded and delete it from Installed Updates?

Hi All.

We administer a number of Server2012r2 VM's for a government customer. We use the Tenable Nessus scanner to check for vulnerabilities. Windows Update is not enabled on these VM's by explicit direction of the customer and all patching is done manually.

Within the last month, Nessus has been flagging an increasing number of these VM's as missing KB4074597. This KB was manually installed on 2/23/2018 and verified in patch logs and in event logs, but affected VM's show the update is now missing from the list of installed updates. Analysis shows that KB4074597 appears to be getting flagged as superseded and is getting uninstalled from the VM by TrustedInstaller. This may be due to a task (StartComponentClean-up) as this task was running at about the same time as the un-install was occurring, but StartComponentClean-up is a scheduled task and I do not understand how this is occurring now. Can someone advise? Can someone also advise on KB4074597's status with regards to superseded/not superseded? Thanks in advance
