Built-in Bluetooth isn't working 100% of the time

Hello,

In early January I purchased a new laptop (ASUS-VivoBook-15-X505BP) and all was working fine up to two months ago when I started experiencing issues with the Bluetooth capabilities of the laptop. I have tried googling for solutions to no end since I can't find anyone who has experienced this issue and shared it even, not to mention find a solution to my struggles.

Basically, what started happening was the operating system (Windows 10 Pro) would no longer detect that there's a Bluetooth radio connected, which is funny since it's built-in to the laptop itself and isn't something I'm plugging in or out. I've checked device manager, settings, ran troubleshooters, reinstalled the drivers. The Wi-Fi is working perfectly and has no issues if at this point you're asking yourself if that's also affected.

Sometimes, if I restart my laptop, it boots up normally and the Bluetooth icon will pop-up in the taskbar, it's all fine until it's not. All of a sudden, be it while connected to my wireless speaker, or AirPods, the icon will disappear from the taskbar, the settings toggle for on/off in windows settings will also disappear, and the troubleshooter, as well as device manager, insist that there isn't a Bluetooth device connected.

I even went ahead and did a complete wipe of the operating system partition and reinstalled Windows from scratch, but alas the problem is persistent. Could it be a faulty driver making its way through Windows Update, or is the Bluetooth radio inside my laptop needing replacement?

My laptop thankfully still has warranty so they should be able to replace it if it's hardware related, my reason for being here is to make sure it's not software related, seeing as my warranty issuer said they will take hold of my laptop for 2-3 weeks while they conclude hardware diagnostics and wait for Intel to send them a replacement part. Seems stupid, but I'd rather wait to first get advice from strangers on the internet than be laptopless for 3 weeks.

Thank you,

I will be desperately awaiting your assistance.
