Here's a doozy.
Haven't used the PC for years. Couldn't remember the password (is on MS auth, not local).
Reset the password just fine (using the login to write this).
But the PC won't accept it. It brings up 'welcome' on the log in screen, and spins the animation a little, then states the password is wrong. If I unplug ethernet, it states the PC is now in offline mode and I should use the last password used successfully on that PC. Not sure if the ethernet port is the problem. It doesn't always have connectivity LEDs lit up. Can tell from cmd line that it is getting an IP address via DHCP.
I need some old photos from this PC. I already tried putting the drive in another PC, and can get to some of the files. But I remembered there being a whole lot more.
Checking the recycle bin while on the other PC from the command line, I can see that there is a TON of photos in it (all named $xxxxx etc) and can't tell if they are photos I want to keep but somehow made it into the RB.
Anyone have advice on getting the password to work?
Anyone have a process to be able to copy the contents of a recycle bin on a drive that is not the boot drive?
