need help......driving me nuts..!!

I cannot get video...only sound from downloads...screen goes black when I click on them...(example ..U Tube)....sound starts and runs ..but no picture screen goes black..? I am a senior citizen and my fingers don't work well anymore ..I might have hit a wrong key and mistakenly turned the video off ..I don't know...HELP..!!!!
