We have two domain controllers(server 2012 and server 2012 R2) server 2012 was Primary DC and server 2012 R2 was Secondary DC, as firstly it(server2012) was configured using Desktop machine, so we have transferred the roles of Primary to secondary using FSMO service vice versa. when we deploy a policy using group policy, some client machines receive from one DC and some client machines receive from another DC and sometimes we get the following error "Computer policy could not be updated successfully. The following errors were encountered:
The processing of Group Policy failed. Windows attempted to read the file \\MIPL.COM\SysVol\MIPL.COM\Policies\{3C522280-8A5E-4EA2-88C9-D698955ECAFC}\gpt.ini from a domain controller and was not successful. Group Policy settings may not be applied until this event is resolved. This issue may be transient and could be caused by one or more of the following:
a) Name Resolution/Network Connectivity to the current domain controller.
b) File Replication Service Latency (a file created on another domain controller has not replicated to the current domain controller).
c) The Distributed File System (DFS) client has been disabled."
Is there any way to transfer roles completely.
2) We also experience some single sign-on issues.
May i know the Cause and resolution please.
