Hi,
we are facing issues with created tasks in new server 2016 machines.
the tasks action are simple like execute batch file
the problem is, it seems that if the task creation date is in the past or after the time has passed, those tasks are not executed and in the event viewer there is only this error message: Missed Task start rejected - Task Scheduler did not launch task MyTask as it missed its schedule.
the tasks need to perform every month once on the first sunday
this worked perfectly fine on older server versions like 2008R2 and 2012 but are failing in server 2016.
we do not want to use the option start the task when available, if schedule is missed because those tasks are critical and we want to avoid execution in business time.
we also did file up an support call but it seems the call-center members are not really working together with microsoft support as they still are not responding or doing further investigations... so much for paid support...
if anybody knows something that would be appreciated.
thanks
