Installed SNMP service, but cannot view it in the Services MMC

Hello all,

Oddest thing-- I've got a 2012R2 server with the SNMP service installed, but when I go to configure it I can't see the service listed in the Services MMC.

If I try to remotely configure it from another Server 2012R2 server, I can see the service running, all the tabs, and can configure it with no problem.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the SNMP service, but the issue remains.

• When searching for this problem, I find a lot of articles talking about the security tab is missing from the SNMP service. This is not the problem, the whole service is missing.
• I understand MS has deprecated the SNMP service in Server 2012R2 and it must be installed separately.

Any help making this visible on the local server would be appreciated.
