Windows 8 not connecting to wifi

My windows doesn't connect to wifi and alwayes has amber color on f12 i.e. wifi button. But it connects to my phone hotspot. I restarted my wifi many times and also used troubleshooting provided in windows for networks. No luck. I updated drivers still no luck. All other device in home gets connected to wifi. I tried with different wifi but my laptop doesn't connec. please help
