DETAIL - Cannot create a file when that file already exists.

Hi!

When we loggoff from a terminal services session we always get the following
error message:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Userenv
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1509
Date: 30/10/2007
Time: 4:16:21 PM
User: DOMAIN1\user1
Computer: SERVER1
Description:
Windows cannot copy file C:\Documents and
Settings\user1.DOMAIN1\WINDOWS\system to location
\\domain1.com\users\user1\citrix\profile\WINDOWS\system. Possible causes of
this error include network problems or insufficient security rights. If this
problem persists, contact your network administrator.

DETAIL - Cannot create a file when that file already exists.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If we enable advance UserEnv logging, that says:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
USERENV(4a0.4c7c) 16:39:12:177 ReconcileFile: M:\Documents and
Settings\user1\ntuser.pol ==> E:\user1\citrix\profile\ntuser.pol [OK]

USERENV(4a0.4c7c) 16:39:12:177 CopyProfileDirectoryEx: Calling
ReconcileDirectory for all Directories

USERENV(4a0.4c7c) 16:39:12:177 CreateNestedDirectory: CreateDirectory
failed with 183.

USERENV(4a0.4c7c) 16:39:12:177 ReconcileDirectory: Failed to create the
destination directory <E:\user1\citrix\profile\WINDOWS\system>. Error = 183

USERENV(4a0.4c7c) 16:39:12:177 CopyProfileDirectoryEx: Failed to create the
destination directory <E:\user1\citrix\profile\WINDOWS\system>. Error = 183

USERENV(4a0.4c7c) 16:39:12:177 ReportError: Impersonating user.

USERENV(4a0.4c7c) 16:39:12:177 GetShareName: WNetGetConnection initially
returned error 2250

USERENV(4a0.4c7c) 16:39:12:177 ReportError: Logging Error <Windows cannot
copy file M:\Documents and Settings\user1\WINDOWS\system to location
\\domain1.com\users\user1\citrix\profile\WINDOWS\system. Possible causes of
this error include network problems or insufficient security rights. If this
problem persists, contact your network administrator.

DETAIL - Cannot create a file when that file already exists
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And this is wrong, since we opened the destination share and folders to
everyone, full control, and still having this problem. If we create manually
all required folders, files are copied normally, and we do not get folder
creation error message.

We got the same error message if we clear everything from the destination
folder (\\domain1.com\users\user1\Citrix\Profile), "DETAIL - Cannot create a
file when that file already exists", this is impossible, this folder is
empty!!!

Somebody could help? We got this error message for everybody on this server
since we applied missing Windows Updates (6 months of updates).

Thanks.

As soon as we put the user into the "Domain Admin" group, this is working!
Security issue... still searching.

Problem fixed!

See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/275461

A little bit different, BUT THE SAME! Users should have read access to the
root of the share, even if they have full access of their own folder, this is
required for the mechanism to read the share/folder properties!!!
