Hello there,

This is my first time producing a boot image for WDS and in general I'm not great with Windows infrastructure, so when responding please explain in detail how to step through processes.

Issue:

When adding a wim to wds boot images, using the wizard, I'm greeted with an error "The file does not contain a valid boot image."

Environment:
We're running a Windows server 2012.

About the image:

The image file is a wim, produced using sysprep in coordination with using wds's image capture tool. within Windows 10. The wim file is stored on the boot volume the Windows sever is installed on.

Troubleshooting performed:

Using Dism's /Mount-Image I was able to mount the image and verify the wim is not corrupt, as I was able to browse the various directories.

Your assistance is truly appreciated,

Kind regards,
Rob
