code 41

Hi I have a dell 4600 series desk top. my dvd/cd drive die on me. so I
installed LG dvd writable drive,but when I rebooted the (code 41) 'Window
successfully loaded the device driver for this hardware but cannot find the
hardware', so I downlode the firmware,but there was a error ATAPI device
cannot be found. I will be gratfully for any help. Thank you Samow
