Dears,
Windows 2016 using VEEAM backup (snapshots). Around the timeframe of the VEEAM backup SQL all of the sudden lost access to the tempdrive (device not ready error in logfile). When checking the system, the TEMPDB drive became uninitialized. Logfiles (application) only show the effect, but I cannot find the rootcause in either the system logfile nor the windows eventlogs. Anybody know a way how to get to the disk subsystem logfile? Meanwhile the disk has been reinit'd and SQL restarted which recreates the TEMPDB. Problem solved, but I'd like to understand how this happened. Anybody can point me to logfiles other then the ones I've visited (using eventlogs?)
Tx,
Tim
