Hello,
So the thing go as follows:
- We have an Active Directory (domain & forest functional level : WS2016).
- We use roaming profiles, folder redirection, DFS-R.
- We have a site-to-site Failover Cluster.
Thing is, we have 2 sites which are located in Germany and the other one faraway in Cyprus. Our roaming profiles exist in both WSFCs in both sites. The problem we are facing is that while we try to login to the remote site on a Windows VM(domain-joined VM with our roaming profiles, the site is in Germany for this instance) , the roaming profile service may take hours to login and even more time to logout.
This doesn't happen once, but every single time. FYI, any VM that someone logged in with a roaming profile, create roaming profiles for the local (admin of VM)and domain administrator(which don't have roaming profiles), making it hard for them to login as well, on those VMs. Also, we have made very small roaming profiles , to check if it was the size of it, but that was not the problem.
Any help on this? Thanks.
