Hello!
I know there are a million posts about this particular error when attempting to install a Windows Operating System but I just can't seem to find any suggestions to solve this issue. Sorry if this is a bit lengthy but I'm hoping to provide as many details as possible.
Error: Windows cannot install required files. The file may be corrupt or missing. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. Error code: 0x80070570
Machine:
MB: ASUS P6T Deluxe V2, CPU: Intel Core i7 920, RAM: Dual 16GB DDR3 running @ 2138, VGA: GeForce GTX 660, Drives: 1 Intel SSD, 2 WD HDD
I have updated the BIOS to the most current version released by ASUS and also confirmed all drivers are up to date.
I've downloaded the Windows Server 2016 Datacenter Evaluation edition, and also the full version through Microsoft Imagine (Educational account). I have verified the MD5 checksums on both of these ISO files to confirm they are not corrupt.
I have attempted the installation on an SSD, HDD, Virtualized environment (Hyper V, Virtualbox, and VMware Workstation 12).
The error appears between 2% and 6% the 'Getting files ready for installation' step of the install.
This same error and the same scenario has occurred for all installations that I have attempted. Again, I have confirmed the ISO images are not corrupt so I am really just at a loss.
The one thing that I'm guessing will be suggested is to see if the ISO will install on a different machine which would point to a hardware issue on the machine the Server needs to be installed on. But I'm hoping for any other suggestions as well!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Marcus
