VPN Server Kerberos Crash Causes System Restart 0xc0000005

Hello Everyone,

Hopefully this is posted in the right place. Pulling my hair out trying to figure out why on a fresh installation the VPN and Direct Access does not work.

Every time I initiate a VPN connection to the server, once the client reaches the authentication phase the server pops up with:

"Your PC will automatically restart in one minute"

"Windows ran into a problem and needs to restart. You should close this message now and save your work."

After it restarts I find an NPS event id 4402 with no text, and an Application Error event id 1000 with text:

Faulting application name: lsass.exe, version: 6.3.9600.16384, time stamp: 0x5215e25f
Faulting module name: kerberos.DLL, version: 6.3.9600.16408, time stamp: 0x523d35cc
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x0000000000087ca7
Faulting process id: 0x204
Faulting application start time: 0x01cefb5c155a36d0
Faulting application path: C:\Windows\system32\lsass.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Windows\system32\kerberos.DLL
Report Id: 343fa221-6750-11e3-80b9-005056880b66
Faulting package full name:
Faulting package-relative application ID:

Researching that error code brings up people saying the server is infected (it can't be, just finished a fresh installation 10 minutes ago), or that the exception code 0xc0000005 means Access Violation which doesn't help me figure out why it is crashing.

This is on Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter, and the only role enable is the remote access role. This did not happen on Windows Server 2012 (R1).

Thank you for all your help in advance!
