VB40032.DLL file

[SANTANDER]

I've installed one application, but it was too ugly and I want throw it out.
It placed all files in C:\Program files directory without creating
appropriate folder. I checked setup log and find files it installed. I am
not sure for one file: VB40032.DLL - does program installed this file or it
has rewrited an existing file? Anyway, can I remove this VB40032.DLL file?

Santander:

VB40032.DLL is the Visual Basic 4.0 Runtime module. Evidently the
program you tried to install was written in Visual Basic and needs
this file to run. If you don't want to delete it just rename it and
see if everything still works.

Just to add to John's reply.....if the file VB40032.DLL is located in your \Windows
or \Windows\System folder, you could just leave it there. It is a Visual Basic 4
library file, and will do no harm. You may actually run across an app that will use
it some time, saving you the trouble of acquiring it later.

I ran across a program a few years ago that did just what you described....it
installed in the Program Files folder rather than in a sub-folder of it.
Coincidentally (or perhaps not), it was a very badly written Visual Basic
application, apparently written by someone who had not learned how to use Visual
Basic yet.
