I've learned a lot in the last few weeks [apart from being termed a "dinosaur" for continuing to use XP as a guest on Win 7 Prof. via VMWARE Player]. Well, a lot of saurians in business are using old programs that won't work on anything higher than XP.

Anyway, for the possible help of others still on XP, I've found a Browser called SEA MONKEY, a sort of freebie from MOZILLA [they accept donations; obviously orphans of the main company]. I found a free copy of Win XP Professional - supposing it must be better than my old copy of XP Home - and of course didn't need to register it, as MS repudiates it Update-wise. What I had not realised was that even though IE (8) no longer works with XP, it should not be uninstalled because it's an integral part of the o/s. 3rd party programs on XP sometimes need to access IE for their Updates [they can't get them because IE, not being MS-protected, won't go looking for the requested Page]. I've just made SEA MONKEY my main browser and found some extra anti-badware to supplement 365. If CCleaner (free)indicates a program is to be updated, I get the appropriate update from Win 7/IE11 and Copy/Paste it into XP or try SEA MONKEY. It's great for searches.
