Can anyone confirm if this is officially supported or not.
I've configured a Win 2016 VM with RDSH installed to allow for multi-user sessions. However, searching for applications on the start menu, only returns a few basic windows apps (i.e. WordPad) but not anything else that might have been installed.
I've confirmed that the Windows Search service is running. That the indexing is complete and set to pick up the Start Menu folder. I even opened the windows search .edb file with a utility and confirmed that it has indexed the files/applications. Yet searching for them yields no results. Per a suggestion elsewhere I enabled UAC for Admins, via a GPO, but again no joy.
There seems to be a few blog posts around the web, that suggests that Windows Search is broken when RDSH is installed, but nothing definitive. As such, I just hoping to get some steer whether its worth spending much more time trying to fix this.
