Does windows server has function to avoid sutting down when VM is upgrading

Hi all,

I have a server that is running Server 2016 in bare metal and has 2 Hyper-V VM of Server 2016 inside. I am setting these VM and bare metal the same inactive hours (night 8:00 to morning 8:00).

I am afraid the bare metal will restart meanwhile the VM also restart at the same time so my VM will be crashed due to interruptof updating. Will it actually happen or the server has some protection mechanism on it? Thanks for any comment and solution.
