Hi
I had to restore a Windows 2012 server from backup and ever since Remote Desktop has not worked.
This server is not running as a RDS server, I have just turned on Remote Desktop for management purposes.
In the event log I am seeing the following error:
Event 1057, TerminalServices-RemoteConnectionManager
The RD Session Host Server has failed to create a new self signed certificate to be used for RD Session Host Server authentication on SSL connections. The relevant status code was Object already exists.
However if I run the certificate snap-in there are no certificates listed under Remote Desktop
I googled the error but all the information seems to apply to servers running the Remote Desktop role which we are not.
Any suggestions gratefully accepted.
Thanks
Charlotte
