Windows XP and microsoft flight simulator 2004

I want to use an old computer to play Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. The recommended operating system is Windows XP. My question is, will MFS2004 work with Windows XP Pro ? This is the operating system installed on the computer. I have not purchased the computer yet just in case. Has anyone used or is using the flight simulator with Win XP Professional and does it work with no problems ? Thank you.
