Can an eval copy be activated with MSDN keys

Quick and hopefully easy question. Can an eval copy of Windows (2016 Datacenter in this case) be activated with MSDN keys to make it a non-expiring copy to run in a lab environment or can eval downloads not be converted to "real" copies ?
