Last night on an old Acer 5738z Windows Vista Laptop it would freeze minutes after start up. The last time this happened it seemed to be a dust in the fan issue so today I opened it up and fumbled my way to the fan, cleaned the dust and reassembled it to the best of my abilities. Unfortunately it now just powers on to a blank display, absolutely nothing
I have tried:
The fan is running, there is HDD activity but there are no beeps or any useful indications
I don't believe I did anything careless or harmful to any of the hardware when taking it apart but it's always a possibility

I have tried:
Going back and making sure all connections are probably inserted
HDMI output into a different display
Draining the power and powering it on again multiple times
Starting with ram, HDD, wifi adapter (?) and disc drive removed
All Ram combinations
