Ok needed to post this some where because I just spent the past 4 hours trying to fix my screen resolution 
After this last windows update all of a sudden I lost my screen resolution of 1920 x 1080
now of course I tried rollback drivers, updated drivers, uninstall driver nothing worked
And I am not sure why I even tried this...but it worked
I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 and 2 monitors, now on the card ports there is a HDMI and DVI slots
I Swapped the HDMI cable to Monitor #1 and DVI cable to Monitor #2 and it worked!
[it was the reverse before the update]
And there you go.... hope this helps someone...
