Hello. I had a couple hundred pictures in My Pictures and my wife
decided to put them all into folders. I can see the files in the
folders, but all of them indicate 'preview not available' everytime I
try to open them. Please help.

Thank you!

Click Start>Run, type:

REGSVR32 THUMBVW.DLL and click OK.

Click Start>Run, type:

REGSVR32 WEBVW.DLL and click OK.

If that does not help, there is a thumbnail view repair file from MVP Doug Knox on
his site: www.dougknox.com, just go to Utility in the left column menu, then look
for "Repair image preview and thumbnail view in Windows Explorer" in the
right-column.

Here is the direct link to the page:
Repair Image Preview:
http://www.dougknox.com/utility/scripts_desc/fixpix.htm
Use the script for Win9x systems.

Thanks for the suggestions. The first command did not run "failed -
The specific module could not be found". I could not use the Doug
Knox repair as there is a warning it is not XP friendly. Thanks again
for trying!

As you are posting in an ME group, "XP friendly" is not relevant.
If you have XP, then please post to an XP group.
It is dangerous to post to a group for another operating system
without mentioning your O/S.
