Mount Pointed folder causing host C: drive freespace confusion/problems

Under disk management: there are three volumes
First is the (C:), System Reserved, and User Layers

Two Disks:
Disk 0 (2TB) contains two volumes: System Reserved and (C:)
Disk 1 (10TB) contains the User Layers volume

There is a mount point(to disk1) folder on the C: .. C:\User Layers\

The issue is, currently C: is showing usage that includes the mount point, so only 300GB remains on the C:. If i were to duplicate a 15GB file on the mount point, the 300 goes down to 285GB remaining. This caused problems whenever that free space goes down to near 0. How do we exclude the mount point from the total calculation of the disk 0 (C:) The free space on the mount point(10TB) is 100%
