This just stated happening. I completely un-installed WSUS thinking that was the problem but now I cannot re-install the role on a Hyper-V server built just for WSUS.
I have 2 physical servers; server2012R2 STD for DC & Server2012R2 Datacenter for Hyper-V. I have a total of 5 Hyper-V systems (all std).. If I run "Check online for updates form Microsoft" (remember, no WSUS now).I get the 8004402f error on all the physical & Hyper-V systems.
Now, all my Windows 10 Pro systems use the same update path as above and work.
I use Symantec Endpoint Protection:
The only difference between client and server is the server uses the windows firewall.
NB - I am building the WSUS Hyper-V system and had this problem before adding Symantec Endpoint protection..
I am Googling 8024402f but it is all over the place. I need to get servers back under updates. What can I do?
