I have windows 2016 server with two NICs.
One NIC attached to the WAN which has its own DNS server and uses Static IP.
Second NIC is attached to the LAN. The server is the soft router to WAN, the DHCP server, File server, and DNS server.
1. Machines can ping each on the LAN and WAN via the IP address.
2. The machines on the LAN can ping each other and server by name.
3. The WAN machines can ping each other and the server by Host name.
My problem is I can get machines on WAN to ping machines on LAN via the Host name and vice versa.
Most of what I found is trying to resolve Internet address which is not the case in my situation.
