Hi,
I ran into some troubles tonight. I ran windows updates on 3 windows 2012 r2 servers and after that, i cannot run any applications that runs form a network drive anymore. Other applications in other network drives work fine.
The error indicates that i don't have enough permissions but that is not true. I can run the same application from another 2012 r2 server that has not been updated for quite some months now since it was not in production. I can run it from a 2016 RDS and a windows 7 pc. Is just my 3 Windows 2012 R2 servers that got affected.
I searched in the forums and on the web and seems to be a quite common error with windows 10 b1803, but never seen it on 2012 R2.
Some mention to reset registry, some to check SMB 1 and some run in compatibility mode. However, i havent found any concrete solution and I'm still stuck with the issue.
I'm currently on the process of restoring one of the servers from backup and uninstalling windows updates but i fear this will happen again if the updates kick in one more time.
I hope someone has incurred on this issue and can give me some tips on how to sort it.
Thanks.
