We are running a windows server 2003 R2 IIS server for one application. The certificate that we got a few years ago from one vendor has expired. I renewed the certificate with go daddy and updated it with the new wild card certificate in IIS for the default website but the site then fails. When we try to connect to the URL it says Cannot connect securely to this page. This might be cause the site uses outdated or unsafe TLS security settings.
If I put the expired wild card certificate back on default site, the site comes backup properly, however we just get a certificate error.
Once the certificate has been updated to the new one, I have tried restarting the server, IIS and restart default site and none of that fixed the issue. Need assistance to understand what is going on.
the certificate I am importing onto the IIS website is the private key certificate.
