Windows Server 2012 R2. I installed Carbonite months ago and it has been running fine. A couple of weeks ago it started failing, and I believe I've traced the problem to one of the VSS services not running.
When I look at services, Hyper-V Volume Shadow Copy Requestor is listed as Failed. If I try to start it or look at properties, I get an error that either System cannot fine the file specified or System cannot find the path specified.
The server was not updated and nothing changed (famous last words) between the last time everything worked and when it started to fail.
Restarting doesn't help.
Any idea what might have happened and how to restore it?
Thanks.
