Background:
I work in a corporate environment and support about 100 users. We have our conference rooms set up on Windows 10 and Windows 7 with roaming profiles for our users. We also interact with businesses that use a wide variety of video conferencing tools including Skype for Business.
Problem:
Currently, we are having a massive issue with our Windows 7 Conference rooms not being able to use Skype for Business.
When a standard user goes to join a meeting, upon opening the invitation page, they opt to install the web app. A window pops up and says that the app is updating. The window promptly closes and nothing happens. They then click on the next link to join the meeting. The same symptoms appear: A window pops up and says that the app is updating, the window promptly closes and nothing happens.
Attempted solutions:
Run as Administrator - From what I've found, the link doesn't download an installer that I've been able to find. The older install files for the Skype Web App do not show a 'Run As Administrator' option, and 'Run As Other User' as a domain admin produces similar results to the problem listed above: an installer window opens, then promptly closes producing no results.
Uninstall/Reinstall - When opening the installed 'Programs and Features' a 'Skype Web App' appears to be installed. However, from the user's account, attempting to uninstall that app pulls up a window that says the following:
Digging through the AppData \Local and \Roaming directories doesn't unearth anything that can be uninstalled so far as I am aware.
Network:
Currently, we do run an SRC GPO. However, I have added hashes for the skype installers and that has not produced a solution. I also dug through the folders and whitelisted hashes for what I thought were the installed programs. However, since I haven't been able to locate a file to uninstall, I am doubting myself.
Please help! We are working with clients that we'd really like to be able to put our best foot forward with!
Thanks!

The Feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.
Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'SkypeMeetingsApp.msi' in the box below.
Use Source:
