FP Extensions, VStudio, SQL

I heard that VStudio 2005 development (remote) is restricted on Vista due to
Vista's inability to use FP Extensions. Is this the case? Are there issues
with VStudio 2005 and/or SQL 2005 on Vista?

Visual Studio 2005 runs fine on Vista. The main caveat, you must have VS2005
SP1 applied.

See here for a list of known issues on Vista:

I haven't heard of the Frontpage question, myself - mind you, I don't do
much (any?) web development. But I suspect the rumour arose because of the
misleading error message from Visual Studio that Frontpage extensions are
not installed - the solution to this error is not to install Frontapage
extensions rather, you need to turn on the IIS 6 compatibility layer.

Lots more information about running VS2005 on Vista, here:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/vstudio/aa948853.aspx

FWIW I have tried remote debugging of Win32 code, using VS2005 on Vista, and
that worked fine.

Hope it helps,

I run them both, that use to be VS 2005 professional (limited time use), now
VS 2005 Express for VB, C# and WEB and SQL 2005 Express.
