Dell T430 Server with DVD burner
Windows Server 2016 Standard
I wasn't able to access any of the built-in disc burning tools, which were all grayed out, or no burner displayed if an iso file selected.
Finally found a post related to WS 2008 from several years ago that indicated CD/DVD burning was restricted to the local machine\Administrator. My main login has administrator privileges, so had been using it. Burning works fine if I log in as Administrator; we are workgroup and not domain, so not sure what would happen on a PDC, as don't believe that a log in as local administrator is allowed.
How do I enable other logins to have burner access? No obvious settings in gpedit that I could find.
Thanks
