Hi there,
i am currently encountering a strange behavior at windows logon, and haven't found a solution yet.
I know what caused the problem, but so far, didn't find a way to undo it.
We are usually deploying VMs running Server 2016 with english display language, but german keyboard layout.
Some colleagues changed during initial setup the option "What's your preferred app language?" from german to english.
Unfortunately, by doing this, keyboard layout changed also.
Once logged on into Windows, it's no problem to change the keyboard layout back to german permanently (see upper part of the picture).
But at Windows logon, system keeps using english keyboard layout (see lower part of the picture), which causes problems especially with customers locking their accounts when using passwords containing letters z, y or certain special characters.
Whatever i did in the Settings-GUI didn't change anything of this behavior. Also no success with editing Registry (HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Keyboard Layout\Preload).
So, any help is appreciated
