Reinstall Windows Media Center

Is there a way to reinstall WMC without using the discs? I have a new laptop
and WMC always closes when i attempt to open it:
Problem Dtails-APPCRASH, ehshell.exe, 6.0.6000.16386

I would like to reinstall the application without going through an entire
"recovery" (HP). I don't have the Vista discs b/c my system came preloaded
with the OS and no discs.

Use System Restore to restore to a restore point prior to a date/time that
the Problem started.

If advise given from anyone, solves problem or not, or if solved from

Bob- thanks for the response,
I do not have a good restore point. The application has never worked
properly. What I'm looking for is similar to the Repair application function
found in the control panel of previous OS. I can't seem to find any way to
reinstall just the WMC to see if that resolves the APPCRASH. Do I have other
options?

regards,
DJ

Vista does not have that function, if you have 'backup, you can restore
programs/ data the using that function. Depending on the type of backup you
have set
