Hi, I tried to search around for anyone else with this problem but couldn't find anything, so I thought i'd post.
We have a 2016 server set up in EC2 as a backup repository, with 8TB of disk space.
I'd like to increase it to 16TB in size, so I've added the disks (HDD and SSD) and am trying to now extend the virtual disk. When I extend it to 16TB, it fails after about 10 seconds with the message, "Error extending virtual disk: Not Supported. Activity ID: {4a66cb30-7b9c-4a68-88c5-3c9071f48008}".
Just to check off the steps, I have:
- Added the disks themselves
- Brought them online and initialized in disk management so they appear in "Physical Disks" in Server Manager -> Volumes -> Storage Pools
- Set the MediaType to HDD/SSD for each disk
Can anyone suggest why this error is coming up, or let me know if I might be doing anything wrong? Thanks for your time.
