I got a mix environment of about 200 servers (linux and Windows) and at least 2000 users. We are using Vmware EXSI as Hyper Visors with replication technology. Was wondering what is the best version of widows 2016 to install the DC (STD vs DC). Does it matter first of all? Also is a need to go Datacenter if we go to Azure at one point?

But what about Domain controller replication. I heard the FSR is outdated and the DFR-R is the way to go but does storage replication takes also effect with DC replication?

- Storage Replica and Storage Spaces Direct
- Shielded virtual machines and the host guardian service
- New networking stack based around Azure networking stack
- Hyper-V containers unlimited
